This collab started on Bandhub with hoffmaa80 as the organizer. hoffmaa80 is not on Bandhug, but she has given me permission to use her track so Moe and I can complete this collab.

"Maps" is a song by American indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs from their debut full-length album, Fever to Tell (2003). The song is about the relationship between Liars frontman Angus Andrew and Yeah Yeah Yeahs lead singer Karen O.[5] It was released 2003, and the band performed the song at that year's MTV Movie Awards.[6] The music video received extensive play on MTV. It reached number nine on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart and was included in the popular video game Rock Band.

hoffmaa80, moe45673 and I added our tracks about 4 years ago when hoffmaa80 organized this collab in Bandhub. We can finally complete it thanks to cbgb . Thank you all for your efforts in this collab. Bob with your dedication in redoing the drums and Moe with your mixing skills which take a long time to put to work. I am sure hoffmaa80 will be happy to listen to the completed collab. Until next time! Cheers!

moe45673 and cbgb Thanks for your amazing effort and dedication to this collab. If you are happy with this latest published mix, I will mark the collab as complete. If not, please save a mix and I will publish it. I think it sounds great and I am sure hoffmaa80 will be pleased and hopefully we can convince her to join Bandhug ;-)

I really like this collab. I wish I could thank Audra personally and tell her how much I love her voice and performance. And, actually, you three could go on tour. You're that good here together.

I will do a final mix! Busy as hell so might be as late as next week. But it's my top free-time priority :D

@Bob : when i mixed last time around, her vocals isolated sounded so amazing. She's blessed eith that timbre. Also, i just listened to the published mix (not the cranked volume drums studio mix) and wow. Tight as anything. I was worried that you were playing a little ahead of the band but i see Daniel fixed that as a sync issue. Sounds perfect! But still needs to be mixed :)

@Moe : I listened to it this morning and sync sounded spot on for me. I have noticed on bh with my low connect speed that I have to let the song play through at least once before I can start trying to sync anything. I'm not sure it's even possible to get a perfect sync. Like, on some songs, you could have for or five musicians playing to a bt. So, unless every one of the is in perfect sync with the bt through the whole song any attempt to sync the four together will be impossible. I try to play with the bt only button not checked as often as possible, but I didn't on this last track because I didn't want to play with my old drum track. I could have put it in drafts but I never mess with other people's published collabs like that. I'm always worried about glitching it. So, there may be a spot where I'm not in perfect sync. As far as the drums pushing goes, that might be a personal taste thing, so however you feel it fits best, but take into account your connect speed and play it a couple of times through, and refresh the page after you make adjustments.

@Bob : Ugh, there's a miscommunication. I agree with you about the pitfalls of trying to sync imperfect musicians to a backing track. What I meant was that when I listened before this most recent "publish", your track sounded ahead. I was unsure if it was a syncing issue or it was you playing slightly ahead of the beat.

@Bob : After this most recent "publish" I hear you locked in the pocket. Not just locked in, but you overtook and became the pocket. So the issue was in how your track was initially synced (likely due to the technical frustrations) and not you playing "ahead of the beat". Daniel's resynching of your track was my answer (he's really good at it, I've noticed).

Does that clarify it or have I made things muddier :D

@Moe : not muddy at all. Totally understand. And you're right, Dan is really good at syncing.
