Take On Me is a song by the Norwegian synth-pop band a-ha. The original version, recorded in 1984 and released in October of that year. The instrumentation included a Yamaha DX7 and PPG Wave, with the main melody on a Roland Juno-60. A LinnDrum drum machine was used on the second and third releases, with acoustic cymbals and hi-hat overdubbed.

@thx1138: I sent you a PDF I downloaded from Ultimate-Guitar.com, from the unplugged version on MTV, they played only guitar on that one (No Keyboards), but I highlighted the parts that are for the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar .

@Maximo : Hey Max ! Two tracks uploaded for you. Hope you like 'em ? 1. The acoustic track and 2. The electric. Word about the electric - the isolated track to me sounds like percussive playing as opposed to any distinct notes or chords ???!! The sound is very unique too...I do not think I could ever reproduce it exactly...Hopefully it will suffice ?

@thx1138: On the E. Guitar, I think.... it is played with the pick closer to the bridge of the guitar, so the string sound is really sort and each string is more defined.

@Maximo : Alternate E-guitar track sent...Played closer to bridge, with bridge pickup and treble all the way up...Original in draft...Best it's gonna get from me....

@thx1138: Yeah, I know the filling, but I think if I'm making a cover, I must do it without any change, and the guitar is there in the song. Probably the main reason I invited you is ... I don't remember seeing you playing acoustic guitar on any of the songs we've played together, and I was curious :-)

Yeah Ives, I mixed my tracks very low and published that way so the guitar would be louder, for Frank @thx1138 , to record the guitars, but I think when you select only the back tracks as reference, will work the same. So I decided to publish with a better mix for my tracks.
