That's great. If you need some assistance, there are plenty of tutorials for the lead acoustic on You Tube :-)

@stubass: What I will really need is time to practice, not an easy one to play.

Hi Stu...you asked for a 6 or 12 string, so gave you both. Actually thought both sounded pretty good in the mix with the 12 down in volume and fade out the end on the 12 string as I think whoever does the lead guitar will fill that in. I could not get the fade out to work. Anyway, hope one or both work and always glad to redo anything.

I like the 12 string on this one. Thx! :-)

I recorded a track but I may have used the wrong audio driver. I had to sync my track and add EQ which I don't usually do anymore. My laptop had a Windows update and now I have like ten drivers show up on the record page. I'll redo if you like, but not right off.

@stubass: I'm saying I'm fine with doing the singing if you don't do any MP3s. Will that work? It's your collab but I don't want to be on a collab that would have MP3s to fill in.

Yes, I understand. But it's gonna sound weak without the BV's. So go ahead with the LV and hopefully we'll get a legit BV going in the future. Thx again :-)

@stubass: That does not sound like a commitment to not use MP3s here.

@Byrdlander : No so. I will not use any MP3's. Btw, do u like Paul Simon?

@stubass: Text is not always great for understanding. Thanks for clarifying. I do like Paul Simon, but it depends on the song. Ok, I will record the main vocals and if I have time, I will do the BVs as well. Will let you know. Even though I can sing after my surgery, I expect I won't much feel like it for a bit after.

Byrdlander: Welcome aboard, James. If you know anyone (maybe yourself) that can handle the country guitar, please let me know :-)

Hi Stu, thanks for the invite. I have tracks to finish for Georgi and Copycat, but I will try to squeeze this in soon. I note there is no mandolin in this tune, although I have seen a mandolin player sitting in with them on Youtube. It also has electric guitar. I'm not very familiar with the players on Bandhug. You are going to need someone who can flat pick pretty well to even do the rhythm and alternate picking at the end of the song. I hope you can find somebody. Maybe Frank for the electric. He could do it.

I saw a hand surgeon yesterday and I'm going to have a surgery on my left hand due to the pain of playing, and I'll be out of commission for six months. I'll be able to sing during that time at least. So I only have enough time to finish the things I have committed to at this point.

@Byrdlander : Thx, James. Frank is not speaking with me. I'll be looking for acoustic, electeic guitarists and backing vocalists

@Byrdlander : Man, reading this makes me appreciate you even more. If recording guitar for my collab hurts your hand at all, please don't feel obligated just because you accepted my invitation. It's not worth making your hand any worse. than it already is. I certainly hope your surgery goes smoothly, and your hand heals quickly after that.

@stubass: If you care to purchase this karaoke-version, I could sync up any tracks you need... https://www.karaoke-version.co....m/custombackingtrack - And as for the BVs, thanks for the invite, but actually I would recommend Byrdlander since he'll be singing the lead. He harmonizes great, and it would probably sound better with all his voice doing BVs. If he wants to, that is.

Byrdlander: James, would u be interedted in doing BV's? Otherwise, I can import an MP3. Good luck with the surgery ! Happy you'll be able to sing :-)

@stubass: @stubass: If you plan on putting any MP3 tracks in for the guitar, or BV, I will not be participating. I hate that. Not trying to be difficult, but if there not sufficient talent to complete a collab, it's probably best not to do it. This is the issue with Bandhub at present. Not enough people who have the talent required to make quality collabs, and getting more players has proven to be very difficult.

I really don't understand why someone would even consider it.

MP3 is always the last resort for me but as you said, the talent level often is not there. Are u saying you'd rather not do the BV's? That being, the case, I'll have to set this one aside. Please let me know ASAP so I can contact the others who have signed on.--thx
