I redid the bass track, now it seems to me that everything sounds rounder.

I re-did the drum Track - changed my drum beat off the snare into a more 'Rock Beat' - Better? Tightened up the snare sound too.

On the other hand we have with us the great Leila Stinne (shame about the lost video but we will solve it. For now we enjoy her voice ...)

Locprog - Thank you so much. What I mean is this: Listen to just your bass track. Mute me and mute the backing track. You will hear the backing track with you.

@thx1138: It's true you're right. But it didn't just happen to me with this collaboration. I thought it was normal and then somehow it would sort itself out. I'll do some testing on this. Could it be because I use Linux with Jack?
