"Night Owl" is a song by Gerry Rafferty. It is the second track on his 1979 album of the same name. It features a Lyricon solo played by "Baker Street" saxophonist Raphael Ravenscroft. The song made the top five in the UK Singles Chart, and along with "Baker Street" is one of two solo efforts by Gerry Rafferty to accomplish this feat.[2]
Though the single was a top-five hit for Rafferty in his native United Kingdom, "Night Owl" was never released in this format in North America, at a time when interest in Rafferty was at its peak after the success of his single "Baker Street" and album City to City a year earlier. In the US, "Days Gone Down" was used as the lead single from Night Owl instead.

Hey Daniel, Rhodes and Strings added. hope you like them, song sounds good!
Hi Daniel, here's a first draft that will probably end up going to... the draft. Many mistakes here and there, especially towards the end. This is mainly to let me know if this is globally OK so far. I may redo unless you think it's good enough, for this is going to be played in the background of other instruments. As always your feedback is well appreciated, and I have no issues if you'd prefer I redo the track. Cheers!
great work Matt and Daniel...Vocal Track submitted .hope you like it
Daniel...gave the guitar track a try. Could not get the part down to my satisfaction...tried to see if rythm might fit in, but dumped that in the draft. Been a while since I pulled out the electric and need a little more fine tuning of my gear...maybe a new amp and a few pedals ! Thanks for letting me give it a try. I guess on to the next guitarist!
Drum track submitted. I hope it's ok as my internet is playing up today.
