House of the Rising Sun was sung as a folk song pre 64 and first created by an unkown author. It was then recorded by the Animals in 64 becoming a number one hit in the UK. The Dead South version provides a new listen with this blue grass style version.

Bob, Joe, Linda and Lynn...perhaps one of the most challenging version of House of the Rising Sun ! We pulled it off...so thanks for jumping in. Im practicing a simpler version of the Banjo, not worthy of adding yet. So considering this one complete, keeping the Banjo invite open and will add when I get good enough or a Banjo player comes on board. Let me know of any recommendations regarding mix. Thanks, Rick
