“Is It Any Wonder?” is a song by Durand Jones & The Indications, featured on their self‑titled debut album (originally released in 2016 and reissued in 2018). While there isn’t a standalone Wikipedia page for the song itself, the band’s main Wikipedia entry provides the authoritative background on the group and the era in which the track was created.
Although the song doesn’t have its own Wikipedia page, it is one of the standout tracks associated with their early recordings — the same sessions that formed their debut album. Those sessions were tracked on a Tascam four‑track recorder between 2012–2014, capturing the raw, vintage soul sound that defines the band’s identity.
The band’s early work was heavily inspired by 1960s soul 45s, shaping the emotional and nostalgic tone of songs like “Is It Any Wonder?”.
Their rise in popularity was boosted by the Chicano lowrider community, which embraced their old‑school soul aesthetic.
