Leaving New York" is a song by American alternative rock band R.E.M. It was released as the lead single from the band's 13th studio album, Around the Sun (2004). Although it was not as heavily promoted as earlier singles, it reached number five on the UK Singles Chart, becoming their 11th and final top-10 hit there. However, the song failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the only lead US single from an R.E.M. studio album not to chart on the US Hot 100 besides "Cant Get There from Here" from Fables of the Reconstruction in 1985.

@Pete Hanratty: I believe you are correct, thx. The drums are buried and the Wave form I submitted was via a Limiter at -1db to avoid clipping.

@Revup67: Sorry about the delay. Nice drums. Just employed Pete's Mix. Hope it fixed everything

@stubass: thanks Stu, I think Pete's mix was done before the drums were added. Might need to be revisited. I am also happy to build a mix.

stubass: Ok done..each track has more breathing room and stands out much nicer. I did lower the backing track to let our instruments shine and move the original backward. Whomever sings this should use our mix and avoid the backing track If possible as it would tie up any loose ends (just a thought).

@Revup67: Do u have a singer for this one?

@stubass: Heather's husband Brandon is sensational. I think he could easily do this. His handle is N3R0 for messaging and Heather could do the backups (Gevenovich). Maurizio would be another option. You can mention I suggested their input. All suggested would work well.

@Revup67: Heather has retired, Brandon only sings with Heather and Maurizio says he's busy

@Revup67: He's been silent for quite a while. You can invite him, if you like. He's angry with me for some reason

There's an apparent issue with the backing track. When choosing BT only, no sound and no playback is heard. This likely has to do with the verbal count in. Bandhug thinks that's the backing track. The count in and the song need to be on the same track.

the only way I could get this to work was to uncheck BT Only

I combined the organ and strings track. Also sent the piano, I think it's pretty good. Let me know if I missed something. Thanks.
