This beautifully atmospheric Elton John song from his 1972 Honky Chateau album has long been a favorite of mine. It really spoke to me as a young man starting out in the world. I played it on guitar for many years and kind of made it my own. Then fairly recently I discovered this live cover by the marvelous Wilson sisters (of Heart) that was not too far from where I'd taken it so many years ago. Among other commonalities, we both slowed it down a little to give it room to be even more emotive and to allow for some fingerpicking guitar stylings. Their harmony is like what I've been hearing in my head all these years while singing this song alone to sunsets. So I chose their version as our point of departure for the first cover I've recorded of this song since about 1983.

Hi Robert, thanks for your invitation! I´d love to collab again with you guys, but I think this time I´m gonna pass. I don´t know this song and won´t have time to learn and record for a while, I´ll only take projects I know and like for now (also with delay). cheers from Argentina!
Robert - a track sent.
