Ace of Spades is the fourth studio album by British rock band Motörhead, released in October 1980 via Bronze Records. It is the band's most commercially successful album, peaking at number four on the UK Albums Chart and reaching gold status in the UK by March 1981. It was preceded by the release of the title track as a single on 27 October, which peaked in the UK Singles Chart at No. 15 in early November.[3]

It was the band's debut release in the United States, with Mercury Records handling distribution in North America. In 2020, the album was ranked at 408 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list.

Roberto - welcome back! Yes the sync has been a struggle. We are getting closer but the pace of this tune is not so easy to keep up with. It is a work in progress

@Bdajaysus: haha. Totally, creaky bones indeed. Rob gave me the choice of recording at a slower bpm. I tried it but the audio video result was odd. So I can back and gave it a try at BT speed. Needs another slight sync adjustment I think. Made some extra noise to cover my screw up as my foot got tired. I'll give it another try this weekend.

Bob I feel your pain the 'Hug needs younger blood, gallant effort sir but like you my bones are starting to ache, creak losing strength and speed all I can say is I'm with it 'till the end. Could always ask Dennis to place a BPM limit on collabs ;-))

Bdajaysus - Haha John - Bob agreed to do this one (for me). We both got a bit overwhelmed by the pace that was set by the 20-year-olds on speed...so I decided to employ some BPM "reduction techniques" in order to record. Brutal pace...

Here's a track for you in real time. Far from perfect but better than what was there.

I have a drum track in studio that's not very good, but I did sync us all up in DAW under cbgb settings if you're interested in start times for you and Roberto. At least to me that where it sounds like you should. I'll come back to this at some near future date as soon as my body heals.

@CyberBass: that's very kind of you but if you listen closely to the drumming on the song you will here some crazy hard rock stuff that rivals complex riffs, fills and accents that match fast fusion drumming in difficulty. I mean, I don't even know yet how he does it. Most things I can figure out how to play by listening, but I can't play them because I don't have the technical hand/foot skills or the speed. I have the skills to play what he's doing here if I can figure out how he's doing it. But the song is to fast to break down the method. It's not what he's doing that's hard, it's how he's doing it and getting back on the beat.

@Bob : I agree the drums and the overall tempo is unforgiving haha. I tried really hard to keep up but I found myself being behind the beat on a lot of changes. They change direction so fast

My Uncle John gave me this album on a visit from England when I was 15. Shiny LP covers there - he wrote on the front "Listen to some Decent Music" John haha. I've heard it many times but never tried to play it until now.
