I've been rehearsing the guitar part. It's just about ready for showtime.
let`s see who can do the other vocals.
airedale you sound pretty wonderful here. Very lively! RicBass you are super solid and on the beat, as always. Thanks for answering the call guys!
@corjapin I submitted 2 more takes on a vocal track for your consideration. I hope you dig.
Take your pick. They both follow what I think is the melody, and I go up (rather than down) when we modulate from key of F to key of C. They are nearly identical, except for what comes in the two choruses after the song modulates. In one (track#2) I drop out and leave space for other voices in the first "...old time Hallelujah glories..." of each chorus, as (I think) you were asking me to do. In the other track (#3) I sing straight through those parts, as the main melody vocalist does on the backing track that (I think) you were asking me to emulate closely.
Sync seems pretty good with no adjustments. I also submitted a mix that includes EQ and reverb for the two tracks. I think I've got track#2 muted and track#3 audible in that mix.
Let me know what you think. I would gladly re-record yet again if you would give me even more specific instructions about what you want. The more I sing this the better it gets. When I go up from key of F to key of C, I am right at the top of my chest voice range. They seem to go up (not down) on the backing track. If I went down then I'd be singing near the bottom of my useful chest voice range. I'll send you a track like that if you'd like to hear it. But I think up sounds better. Your collab, your call of course. Just let me know.
corjapin - sent you a piano track
