Everyone did an excellent job on this one, especially Eric in keys. I know how difficult it is to memorize and execute this song almost note for note. You nailed it. Thanks for taking a big burden off my shoulders.I’ve probably played this song over a hundred times in bands but never was able to memorize the whole song like you did.,

Thanks Michael, a most laudable comment.

Hello Michael, I know what you mean about burden, even though this is all supposed to be just for fun, right? We're all victim of that feeling I think, not wanting to let others down after agreeing to participate... It's still nice of you for saying these things. I admit that I blocked BH invitations (at the Profile level) to avoid feeling the obligation of completing Reserved collabs (like a job), being in a retired state myself...

Just submitted a keys+SFX track. I consider this a draft but I'm not sure when exactly I'll redo it.

it's wonderful..I'm OK with the track submission if you are? The timing is good and gives it a nice live feel as well as the sound. Up to you.

Thanks Anthony for your comments and for publishing. I guess I'll see. I do have many of my own timing/playing issues here but the track alignments seems to drift a bit (by some milliseconds) over time. So I'm not sure anymore if it's worth redoing given that the sync will always be a bit off.

@Eric (@pcderic) : I completely admire the perfection aspect..same here. Now that the Collab has fulfilled is instrument obligation and all told, any imperfections by the band appear obfuscated. Guess I'm looking at the big picture. I think if we had an audience they'd all be cheering. I shall leave the Collab Unlocked in case you change your mind. Can't thank you enough for closing this gap.

Hey, that's rather good, and it really pulls the other tracks together. And now of course all I hear is the delay that my entire track has.

@stegokitty : Thanks for saying this. I think it's our first collab but I've been wanting to collaborate with you, having seen a lot of your great contributions. I do know that feeling of noticing delays after the fact. Don't worry about it, I didn't notice anything with the vocals or with any other instruments than mine. I noticed something after comparing my own local DAW mix (with just the BT). We all have to learn to accept imperfections when BH does its automated mixing/montage thing IMO, especially for longer tracks.

I think it came out great, especially when you consider how difficult how a song it is for the keyboards. Eric you did a masterful job, bravo!

Well, I tried to do it again, but my vocal is still sounding slightly delayed. I tried fixing it in the BH DAW but then it just sounds slightly too soon. I think it has to do with the very slight differences between the original and the collab. So I left the previous version in the Drafts, and submitted a new version. See if you like either one better. And I'll still (probably) want to revisit this when the BT is removed.

Thanks Shawn..and I understand the exactness your trying to pursue the vocal track. I'm Ok with this version also. I can pull down the volume on the BT a bit more if that would help. Entirely up to you. I noted the "pull aways" on the final chorus where Jim's voice is less apparent on two lines. Thanks for the articulations.

@Revup67: It'd be great if you could temporarily remove the BT, in order to download a version of this collab without the BT and send it to me to rework the vocals. It really annoys me that my vocal is (depending on how it's done in the DAW) either lagging at times or too soon at times. This is why I rarely do anything on BH, as much as I appreciate the platform and Dennis's kind heart for creating and maintaining it. There's just no substitute for having full control.

@stegokitty : regrettably, I overlooked your notification. Stumbled across this by accidental nature. This should be do able on your end. Just go into DAW mode and Mute the BT. Then you can mix how you like and download the Mix. There's a Down Arrow with an underscore to Download the Mix. Let me know if that works. Sending a message it seems is the most reliable.

@Revup67: Yes, that only works for people with paid memberships. Since I hardly do anything on BH I don't have one :(

stegokitty - great work Shawn and a very smooth vocal line. Just completed a resync and remix.

Thanks -- However, I can see nor hear my track. All I see and hear is you on the drums, bill on bass, and Matty on guitar, along with the BT. Everyone sounds really good. This isn't my collab, and I don't want to get anyone miffed at me, but if I'm being honest, while you've got the guitar sound and licks down pat, Matty, there are a couple of places where the guitar starts a little delayed. Again, other than that it's pretty much perfect. Bill's bass playing is solid (as always), and that's some fancy drumming, sometimes with syncopation you've got goin' on there Ant. Thanks for brining me onto this project :)

@stegokitty - thanks but weird, I applied the DAW mix so it should show just fine. I will try again and verify in Studio Main (5pm PST 6-17-25). Thanks for the kind words as well.

... or you might have to invite me and I accept, etc. It's weird how BH works ... or doesn't

@stegokitty : Now I've got to give myself some harsh criticism, as my vocals sound like they come in a bit late here and there, plus in the final phrasing, I said "Riders on the storm" too many times (came in with it too early). Hoping to get a good day without a bunch of phlegm and redo the vocals.

@stegokitty : those good ole "hock-tu-ees" can come in handy. Just yell "four" befourhand :)

@Revup67: Hahaha -- It took me a minute or two to figure out what you were talking about. I kept saying "Hock-tu-ees?" and then finally it clicked. I'm on call today but hopefully I'll have the day off completely and can take a little time to redo my vocals.
