Byrdlander - Please help me understand why you submitted 4 acoustic guitar tracks, all with the same strumming pattern. I see we have the 2 original 12-string tracks panned L&R that you submitted first, and now an additional 2 6-string tracks also panned L&R. Did you plan to keep all 4 tracks in the mix, or was I expected to choose my favorite of the 2 6-strings, and favorite of the 2 12-string tracks, and only use one of each? If you prefer to have all 4 in the mix, doesn't that seem a bit redundant, all with the same strumming pattern? So many tracks doing exactly the same thing can only cause a muddy sound when all mixed together, IMO. Actually, the karaoke-version only included one acoustic guitar track, and the other 6 are all electric. I thought maybe 2 acoustics in stereo might sound cool (one of each guitar), but 4? I would love to hear your reasoning behind this, if indeed you feel they all belong in the mix. Please elaborate on this.
1983Electric Hi Stephen and thank you for accepting the invite, in your own time
Mrflat - Outstanding tracks as always! And perfectly aligned, both of them. Out of habit, I mixed them in without checking under Studio Settings in DAW, to see if you saved your own mix. I discovered yours, after publishing my mix. Of course, we can still publish your saved mix, if you still prefer it over mine. No problem, just let me know, or go ahead and save a new mix, and I'll publish that. I'll tell you about the changes I made... Your waveforms were looking smaller than I prefer, so I gave both of your tracks a small boost via EQ, to enlarge your waveforms, and also to give your volume fader some headroom for any future tweaks. Your mix does sound excellent, but I wanted to maximize total volume (without clipping) which is what I did. So, you'll notice that my mix is overall louder than yours, but maintaining all the same differences in track volume (or very close). If dissatisfied, please save a new mix in DAW, beginning with the current studio settings, so your changes will be made to the currently published mix, and not to your old mix. Thank you, Sir.
CopyCat we just received 2 amazing tracks from Dom with a temp mix, please take a listen and adjust appropriately if needed, we might need to source bv's and bass elsewhere.....
