I hope you guys weren't getting notifications every time I tried to adjust by reuploading tracks. lol. I added some backing vocals. If I boost the audio in the studio can that be undone if I don't like it? Without reuploading the track I mean.

When I get those notifications, I just think it is somebody who really cares for their collab. Fine by me! I think Dennis talked about an "undo" feature. Not sure if it is there yet. Since you are recording offline, why not boost your audio before uploading? That way, you have full control of it and can avoid clipping.

by the way, we only get notifications when you publish the collab, so you can move tracks around and upload tracks all you want.

@dan00075_not_available : I did adjust it before uploading but I still wasn't sure how it would sound in the mix. I guess I could just turn it up as loud as I want before uploading then decrease if needed. I'm new at recording this way. lol

@Angelyn : I saw on the FB group that you are using Adobe something. I am not familiar with that. I use Audacity to adjust volume, and it has a feature where the track will take up all the available dynamic range by using an effect called "Normalize" and setting it to 0dB. There may be something similar in Adobe? Beyond that, you would have to either start compressing or manually reduce transient peaks.

@dan00075_not_available : I have audacity too. I will try that feature for adjusting volume next time. Thanks!

@Angelyn : As long as you don't go crazy with compression, you can get away with a lot of effects with vocals, which will boost your volume. Compression is present in every sound effect, just to be clear. If you want to experiment with Audacity: For vocals, I usually do: Effect > Normalize and set it to 0dB. If I need more boost, I start using Effect > Compressor and set the Threshold to -20dB. This is usually enough if the waveform is relatively even. If you find you have transient spikes in your vocal waveform, you can use the Amplify effect to reduce them. I don't think you will have an issue with transient spikes as it looks like you have good mic control.

i have just reuploaded a track and adjusted the mix. You can make any adjustments you see fit! I think I got the audio/video sync fixed finally.

I didn't touch anyone's else's track, just mine. I tried to boost my audio but it doesn't sound like it worked. If you can't get enough volume for it I can adjust it in my DAW off the site and reupload again.

@Angelyn : I would just adjust the audio in the parts where you are more quiet

yeah if you can boost the vocals back in your DAW at these points from 0:33 to 0:58 then 1:34 to 1:58 2:28 to 2:44

@Angelyn : If you boosted the audio is should show a larger wave form and be louder. You can do it more than once. Then when ready republish
