"Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is a song by English pop rock band Tears for Fears. It was written by Roland Orzabal, Ian Stanley, and Chris Hughes and produced by Hughes. The song was first released on 22 March 1985 by Phonogram, Mercury, and Vertigo Records as the third single from the band's second album, Songs from the Big Chair (1985). "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is a new wave and synth-pop song with lyrics that detail the desire humans have for control and power and center on themes of corruption.
Music critics praised "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" in their retrospective reviews, with some ranking the song among the decade's best.

Frank, Ross, Shawn, I want to hear your comments. I've spend couple of hours working on the mix, I think it is almost ready, but let me know what you think, we've all worked on this together and my ear are getting old, so I welcome your feedback. For me this cover sounds AMAZING!!, the best of all that I started.

I think it's a rather good-sounding mix. I ran it through the mastering cycle on Bandlab and it added some punch to it, brightened up the highs and beefed up the lows. I've posted it there if you want to hear it. It's not night and day, but definitely different: https://www.bandlab.com/post/f....eb35d1c-70a3-ed11-99

Shawn, It really sound much better!! and It didn't lose any of my subtle attempt of stereo distribution. Definitely, that audio could be used on the Video release for YouTube :) If I'm not mistaken, you are pretty good with Video Productions, right? I think I've seen couple of your BandHub videos editions several years back.

@Megasis : Yes, I've done a number of videos of collabs. Lately though I've had very little time for entertainment video creation. I could basically put a quick one together just using the existing BH video, and using the mastered track and send it to you to post on your YT channel. Would that work for you?

No that's fine, let me take a shot at that. I've already downloaded all the Video tracks, and I save your Master Mix (Bandlab). audio. By the way, I've been using Cakewalk DAW even before Bandlab bought it from Roland? or , for more that 25 years. I tried to use Bandlab but I rather using the DAW in my PC. Never the less, I would like to take a look at the Mastering Cycle.

@Megasis : Yes, I only use Bandlab for the mastering ability (though that's possibly questionable as it's probably not a one-size-fits-all sort of thing). My home DAW is Adobe Audition. The DAW on BH is very difficult work with, what with having to press the PLAY and STOP buttons rather than it being connected with the SPACE bar. And zooming in to the track, in an attempt to slide shorter tracks into place is a real nightmare. Anyway, best wishes on the video creation. I'm glad that so many people have started creating videos on their own. It's fun seeing the different styles :)

Well, that's about as good as I can do it at this time. It doesn't sound like a challenging song when you listen to it casually, but Roland is doing some interesting acrobatics with his fairly immature voice (I'm one to talk, eh?). So these will be my placeholder until my voice gets back to where it ought to be. And if I just can't handle it, I'll let you know and you can get another vocalist for this project. We'll see :)

@Megasis : Far from perfect, but I thank you, and glad that you're happy. Your key work is absolutely spot on though :)
