Old traditional song, based on another traditional song even older than that. There are a million versions of this song. I chose this one as a point of departure because I like the way they pass the vocal back and forth in true duet style. And because the minor 9th chord they hit on the outro choruses just sounds soooo righteous. It's in 6/8, key is Dmaj.

Hey DrumrDad , this collab is 'Wild Mtn Thyme' in key of Dmaj. Our first one. Then Camelops and I decided to try it in some other keys. Would you like to join us on either or both of those too?

Look for collabs 'Wild Mountain Thyme (6/8 in Cmaj)' https://bandhug.com/studio2/ma....in_studio/tLGAFz2PD2
and 'Wild Mountain Thyme (6/8 in Gmaj)' https://bandhug.com/studio2/ma....in_studio/ZhauyJEBcs

We'd love to hear some of your sweet mandolin on those too, if you want to and are feeling versatile. Cheers.

Gee, I'll have to transpose and all that. Already added to the "to do list."

Thank you for stepping up DrumrDad! You are the man we've been waiting for. Your mandolin is a terrific addition.

Surferbeto I threw in an unsolicited mandolin track. Hope you don't mind. If you can use it, great, if not, no worries. - Bill

OK, here's a simple mix with 4 voices. Your low harmony is nice -very smooth and blendy in a good way. If you want to have a go at the melody part (mando girl's) then you've got my high harmony part (guitar girl's) to sing against. This is starting to sound like something now!
