I began singing online back in 2016 with the now defunct platform BandHUB, and therein did over 300 collaborations. I've published more than 200 of them as videos on my YouTube channel (stegokitty).My skills and talents are singing vocals -- primarily Lead Vocals but if it's a fairly simple two part harmony I can usually handle that as well. I might need a little help with three and four part harmonies, but with assistance I can memorize the parts to perform them. As well I'm happy to provide BVs for another person's LVs.
In a number of collabs provided all manner of creative percussion, and I even bought an Ocarina to use in a cover of "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" theme song. Sadly I've never taken it back up, but I should.
Through the years, in befriending and working with wonderfully skilled and hard-working musicians from all over the world, I'm proud and honored to say that they've caused me to work even harder at honing my skills and talents, and through it all have gained an even greater appreciation for the hard work that goes into even the simplest of songs performed and recorded by professionals -- how much moreso when it comes to the great songs.
I can definitely hear the improvements in my voice, and I work very hard at it. I'm not happy until it's as good as I can get possibly it.
Severe allergy attacks can often delay my contributions, but if you can be patient with me, I believe you'll agree that it's worth the wait. I'm very quick to let you know when the trouble begins and if you might want to search for a replacement if you really want the project completed soon.
Other than Bandhug, I enjoy creating music collabs remotely, via Dropbox (or Google Drive, etc), and email. It’s the best way to get the highest quality audio and video, and even allows you to add custom special FX that are not available on BH, and the ones that are take up a lot of time in executing them.
The great thing about Bandhug though, is that in a real sense, you’re performing live. You’re not performing before a live audience, but once you press the RECORD button, it’s all on you.
Anyway, I look forward to (hopefully) collaborating with you. My musical tastes are fairly wide, but discerning. I say “No” a lot more than I say “Yes”, so don’t take it personally. Sometimes I just don’t like the song … or I’ve already done that song, and I thought that the previous collab was good enough … or perhaps I know that I can’t do it well enough to put my name on it — beside that, I don’t want to ruin it for you, when there might be someone else in the community who’s just waiting for the opportunity to let their vocals shine.
