"Africa" is a song by American rock band Toto. It was released as a single in the US through Columbia Records in October 1982. The song was written by band members David Paich and Jeff Porcaro, produced by the band, and mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Elliot Scheiner.
Critics praised its composition and Toto's performances. The song reached number one on the United States' Billboard Hot 100 chart, the band's only Billboard number one, and number one on the Canadian charts. It also peaked in the top ten in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, and Switzerland.

Nice cover guys ! Megasis is here again... He's everywhere hehe ;)
Such a difficult song to perform - You guysall did a great job here - As a fellow drummer , I want to give special mention to manonamission - Drum tracks came together sounding fantastic. Like Bonham, Jeff Porcaro has a unique feel and you did an outstanding job here dude.
Hey Shawn, you have the perfect voice for this song! Sounds a lot like the original lead singer. These chorus harmonies are tricky, as I'm sure you found out. You guys got it pretty close though. Kudos to the rest of the band as well. Thumbs up!!
I would change couple of volumes, on the Synth Bras Track raise it to 75%, I can barely her it. On Cbien backing vocal track, reduce volume to 30%, I guess he should use a compressor or step back when he raise his voice, it was recorded very loud. Shawn Backing vocal track was also recorded very loud too, but the volume on that track is already set at 25%. I saved my Mixing Settings so you can validate. Also, there is a flute melody missing that goes from 1:53 to 2:23 I could add that this weekend.
Most excellent track here guys! - Loving it
