This was a fairly big hit for Smith in 1970. Gayle McCormick's voice is about as powerful as it gets.

This song is sounding really great. Everybody has done a superb job of bringing it to life. This is not the first time and it probably won't be the last that I wish I could be in a band with the people who helped put this together. I can hardly wait to hear it with new vocals!

Really great job you did here Michael !! Love the different tracks, they really guided me for recording. Anthony I just submitted a new track, let me know if it's good enough. I sent a mix on DAW mode in which I synchronized my part on the others. :) I finally found time before Sunday to record ! And I share the feeling Michael, I wish I could play for real with all of you great musicians !!

@camillesobud: Damn, girl, you can SING!Sweet icing on a tasty cake.Thank you so much for pulling it all together. It's a song now. Really good job. I'm glad you waited until everything else was done to put our vocal on it. It just came alive. You made the ending interesting, just you and Anthony. I think that works.

Ant- I thought about everything we discussed, listened some more, and recorded the organ again. I set the timing again, and I think I found a spot that will please both of us. I am really glad you brought it up, and we talked about it. Again, you'll need to apply my DAW mix to hear the changes

Ok my friend..I have taken your settings on the organ and horns and applied them to the Studio Main Mix, Applied DAW and Published. Let me know if this sounds ok..REALLY liking this one a lot! The horns are smokin hot. Can't wait for Camille to add her vocals. GREAT work on all parts.

I found some more time and worked on the timing. Ant, if you go to the DAW view and set it to the mix I saved, it sounds pretty good. You may want to adjust the volumes.

@Revup67: I'm going mainly by when the chords change with the bass, on your mix I hear the organ Lea jp ung over the ‘edges’ of the best. I tap my footwhen the song starts and hear the organ moving into the chord change. It's your call. Maybe you're right. My sense of timing isn't the greatest.

Thanks - I set it to .155 as suggested but I hear the organ starting sooner than where you have it placed. I've adjusted it again. See what you think..PS love the horns!! fantastic work.

“Leaking over the edges” I meant to say.

@Michael Dixon: I'll need to play the organ over again to make the rest of the part fit correctly if we stay with your mix. That's not a problem.

@Michael Dixon: Ok sounds good it sounded like there may have been another small organ piece piece here and there. I can help identify if you want..thanks for working on this..it is sounding great at this point.

@Michael Dixon: Sorry to leave it such a mess but I think it will sound fine once I fix the timing issues.
