From a preliminary standpoint in Studio non mixed mode, these sound great! Nice work especially on the ethereal guitar sounds and the tonal qualiy on the lead.. Top Notch Mike! Put a huge smile on my face.

billbassdude - Hello Bill, Thanks for your bass track. Sounds just like the original! Solid and smooth. Love those slides and run downs. I was afraid that the low piano notes would interfere but I don't think they do. I increased your level a bit to make sure of it (hope you don't mind). I also uploaded a new fills track w/o bass so that you only hear your own bass. Let me know if there's anything I need to change mix-wise. Loving how this is progressing!

Quick question Bill, how do you make those high note slides in the intro sound like a fretless (gave me a huge smile)? When I listened to your track in DAW, I had to go to Studio to confirm you didn't use a fretless.

@Eric (@pcderic) : The fretless sound really turned out to be just a happy result - I think playing up the neck a bit helps. A fretless bass is on my list of must haves - hopefully in the near future.. The mix sounds great by the way.

@BillBassDude : I guess that the combination of string rigidity and closer frets would give this effect. Makes sense to me. I'm sure that playing a fretless requires a great ear and playing accuracy. Hopefully, you'd be able to try before you buy.

4-2-26 9pm PST - OK gents, drum track is produced with graphix and audio production. Tossed an Abbey Road RS124 Vintage Tube Compressor on the audio track along with BX Console and some Verb with EQ.

Revup67 - Hey, look at you, Mr 70s with the T, the shades, the psychedelics and the black & white, pretty cool. And of course, your drumming is right on the dot! Great sound too! THANK YOU! Published! Just did a rough mix for now.
