@Gary Badger's trumpet lines in the Outlook remind me of the old BBC Masterpiece Theater theme song fanfare. Cool.cool...

Yes, those lines are Trumpet Voluntary by Purcell. An old classical composition. As a teenager I recall playing it several times when I used to play at weddings. But I created the harmonizing line on the fly when I recorded.

@Gary Badger: I thought I recognised that piece! My sister played an arrangemen of it on the harp, and she had me record it as an example of the pieces she could play.

I love the guitar attack. And the wY Protis' keys blend with Brijamcam's acoustic guitar in the quiet passages is pretty cool. As always, Gary's horns are A+ brilliant. Well played all around!

A little subtle panning could spread out the many voices and allow them to be heard more clearly. It's a subtle art. Do we have any studio ninjas in the house?

I have not delved into mixing in studio mode on Bandhug just yet, although I did try to pan some vocals in another collab but it didn't work properly. I do know how to make offline DAW mixes though, so that's an option as well.

@Protis: I just put a long post to the Support Team on the BandHug Facebook group. We'll see if we get some useful new information about good online workflows. It should not be necessary for you to export dozens of tracks to an offline app to get some basic mixing, EQ, and Panning done.

@Surferbeto: I think I've heard it can be done on the site, but I'm jsut unsure how to do it. Thanks for your post on Facebook, and we'll see what happens with that.

@Protis: The biggest point I took home from Dennis' answers to my long list of questions was this: When you apply loaded settings in DAW mode (blue button at top of DAW screen) it updates the Studio mode tracks with time and volume changes. So you can mix sound in DAW mode, then apply changes, then go to Studio mode and use the various sound tools there (EQ, Reverb, Panning, flat Level Boost). Then Publish new mix. You can go back and forth between Studio and DAW modes to listen and mix. Studio changes are automatically carried over to DAW mode (studio settings). But in DAW mode you have to actively apply changes to save them.

Only Organizer can save Apply settings in DAW mode. A non-Organizer can make a DAW mix and save it (button at bottom right of DAW screen). Their settings will then appear in the dropdown Settings list (bottom of DAW screen). Organizer can select those settings, listen, and if he likes them then he can Apply Loaded Settings to make them the new Studio settings. Then he can publish a new mix with those settings.
