The song was written by guitarist John Petrucci. He wrote it about his father, John Petrucci Sr. who was diagnosed with cancer. Petrucci Sr. would be the subject of another Dream Theater song, "Take Away My Pain" following his death. The video for Another Day follows the song's lyrics, with a father and son spending time together. MRI scans are visible in the background, tying in to the cancer theme.

Dennis told me how to fix latency on my own track in the Studio Main window. Problem solved. Is the piano track okay?
Recorded the second piano track again and again. There is still a sync problem. I can't keep doing the same thing over and over expectng different results. It is easily fixed, but must be done by someone with the power to save changes. The second piano track comes in at the last place the song does the walk-up frpm C#m. It needs to be lined up right there and all will be fine.
Sync problems are persisting because only the creator of the collab can apply DAW changes. It is easier if you solo the acoustic guitar and piano and slide the piano track just a bit. I played it in sync, but it drifted. When I move it in the DAW it is fine, just can't save changes. If you can't do that there are people I know in Bandhug who have permission to do it. Dennis Soloman would even do it if you asked him. If all else fails, I know the song and could record the problem track over again. It's getting late and I don't have the energy to do that now.
I recorded the piano on two tracks in order to give you more control in the mix. It is more prominent in some areas, which I could control to a certain extent in my playing, but the first track I did probably needs to be a little louder than the other. There was a slight sync problem, but I think I fixed it.
I am able to record on other collabs I have so I have teferred the issue to Dennis. I am sure he will look into it and let me know what is going on.
