Be better with some reverb, and maybe lower the volume.

Frank, Dennis: I'm on my phone and answering you here instead of in the thread below. Can't seem to open a dialogue box there. Anyway, my interface is a Alesis multimix 8 track mixer connected via USB to a Lenovo Windows 7 PC. I'm using chrome. I was able to record a drum track for 1983electric (song: Killing in the Name) with no sync or timing issues. Not sure why this is different.

128 samples - 4.4ms/ 15.6ms. - This is a setting for your device? I looked up latency issues reported for the Alesis multimix 8. When you go in to the recording window start the recording and cancel after the count down . Do this a few times before real record. This seems to reset things and get a better sync. Also turn off any antivirus. Bob LeBlanc reports he has better sync recordings with firefox. So a few things to try. If there is a buffer setting in the audio device settings try raising the setting.

I'll give the cancel after the countdown thing a try. I figure my sample rate and everything must be OK if it's working on my own recordings and it worked for 1983Electric. All antivirus is off. I'm not sure I have buffer control on the device. Have to look that one up. Coincidentally, I decided to lay down another track for my Almost Cut My Hair collab. First try it came out in sync. Oh, also, I have my video resolution down to the lowest setting. I'll try sarting and canceling recording session during countdown, although, I have to admit, this happens quite naturally with me as I'm usually not ready for the first note. :)

@Bob : My old BH computer has given me trouble and after working directly with others and my own I have seen where some problems are. I am just giving you a few tips to help get around the sync problems. We have been a little creative on work arounds. You shouldnt have to change resolutions though. One person just opened the recording window and walked away for 10 min and just let it buffer. Takes patience to do that. Anyways we are working on solutions. If you need I can remotely dial in to your computer to look around and do dome tests I have done this for few people now. . You can contact me at support@bandhug.com if you need.

@thx1138: The plans for the next studio is to only play one track during recording. Right now we play all the tracks at the same time an that taxes the recording process with buffering and the sound system - computer being used. The plan is to combine the audio tracks so only one combined track is playing during the recording. Hoping this will acheive better sync.

Hiya guys. I recorded a drum track here but for some reason it's either out of sync or a few milisecs fast. I'll try another.
