Gregory Porter (born November 4, 1971)[1] is an American singer, songwriter and musician. He has twice won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album: first in 2014 for Liquid Spirit and then again in 2017 for Take Me to the Alley.[2]

(Insanity) Gregory Porter pleads to a lover on this somber ballad to remain committed to the relationship amid romantic dissonance. "Sometimes, the person that you need to lean on during periods of sorrow is the person that you're the angriest at," he observed.
