"Julia" was written by John Lennon (credited to Lennon–McCartney) in the key of D major and features Lennon on vocals and acoustic guitar. It was written during the Beatles' 1968 visit to Rishikesh in northern India, where they were studying under the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Wow! This is a stunning version of Julia! I had just figured out the guitar part and was wondering if anyone had tackled it yet. Sure enough, I found this brilliant video. Vocals, guitar and bass all wonderful!
This is a tough song to get the vocals right. I must say, Shawn nailed it as usual.
