"Layla" is a song written by Eric Clapton and Jim Gordon, originally recorded with their band Derek and the Dominos, as the thirteenth track from their only studio album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (1970). Its contrasting movements were composed separately by Clapton and Gordon. The piano part has also been controversially credited to Rita Coolidge, Gordon's girlfriend at the time. But this Bandhug version does not contain it because the Bandhuggers do not have 20 hours to spare..LOL !

I will close it for now and will be open to future tweaks...In addition, if any other Bandhuggers wish to join (keys) they will be more than welcome. Thank you all for a wonderful collab.

Hey Frank..seconded. agree with the assessment. The sound of the Collab though seems to be degraded as it's lacking in clarity and definition. Might be the mix? I've written to YvesC before and he did some magic on the backend. Have the DAW Settings been applied and then published? Also, I noted when placing tracks slightly off center or more the clarity improves on the DAW mix..anyway, hope that helps! Thanks for bringing me on board.

Hi Revup67, thanks for your comments, I've reviewed the mix. I'm a huge fan of stereo distribution, to me it's like going from black & white to 4K 3D. Then I've applied more stereo spread to the tracks. And gave a bit more presence to the bass. However, I have to deal with the tracks submitted, so, if there's too much echo, I cannot remove it :) What do you think of the actual mix ?

@YvesC: good points on B&W to 4K..hah..that was a great extreme comparison! Right on any effects, they're embedded ..can't pull those out. Being frank (not that I am trying to be Frank..lol), the mix is fair and could use some compression on the invidual tracks but that would be Frank's call..he may be pleased with the turn out and thus I will defer to his judgment.
