Bdajaysus - Thanks for your drums recording. Sounds just like the original. Very solid. Kinda cool that you can get the rim sound just like a normal drum eh? I'll bet it's got the same velocity feel and all? Thanks for your amazing turnraound time for all my recent collabs. You're awesome!

Byrdlander - Yes, if I remember well, you like to play Eagles stuff, right? You're welcome to the party!

There is no lap steel in this tune. Looks like you have everything you need. Thanks!

@Byrdlander : What's the slide string instrument I hear?

You might be hearing the Bernie Leadon's B-bender telecaster, which can do steel guitar-like lines, but those can pretty much be duplicated on a normal telecaster. There is mandolin, but no slide. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyin%27_Eyes

But reading further, the review says there is "sobbing steel guitar" in there. I'll listen again, can you give me a time in the song where you here it?

@Byrdlander : OK, thanks. Ahh, the Bandhub days. I miss so many of those people. I wonder why Bandhug seems to be kept such a secret from most of the ex Bandhub members. Man, did you record your vocal in a music store, or do you own that many guitars??

@CopyCat : It's not a secret, they do know about it, and there are probably many reasons a lot of folks didn't come over. While Bandhub had it's glitches, it was a lot easier to use. And the efforts made to bring people on were significant. Without that critical mass of talent, it's a whole different vibe, for me anyway. I had 1700+ followers there, I have 55 here. It's been a long time, and we can't seem to solve the talent issue here. And that is my guitar room, I have a lot of crayons so I can pick the right color for the song. Part of the reason I'm bummed about my hands. Finally got all the crayons but it hurts to use them!!!

I went back and listened again, and did some more research, and those bendy steel-sounding parts are Bernie Leadon on his b-bender tele.

@CopyCat : That lick you sent me is the Telecaster.

Those are just bends, not slides

@Byrdlander : Oh man, I feel for ya.. the hand issue. Too bad we can't stay young forever. I think many of those from old BH who checked out new BHug might have been frightened away by the overwhelming lack of good talent here. That's all I can imagine about it. With old BH, there were many more very talented folks, and thus it attracted more of the same. BHug seems to attract more of the less talented, unfortunately. I see myself as intermediate, so I try to fit in here the best I can.

@CopyCat : You don't give yourself enough credit, but I get it. I think you are right about the talent. I wish there was someway out of the cycle, a mass recruiting effort might help, but is the infrastructure up to the task? How many users can the system support at one time? At present, it's not very scalable from what I can see. I work in cloud computing and am a cloud solutions architect, and from my POV, this thing should be in the cloud, as was Bandhub, but nobody wanted to save Bandhub by ponying up. I would have paid, but would have been very vocal about fixing the bugs. But back to the issue, what if we got our wish and a whole bunch of folks started coming on, would the server be able to provide an experience that would bring them back? Food for thought.

And my doctor says I'll be at current strength or better in 3 months, so there is hope!

@Byrdlander : Cool, I'm glad you're optimistic about your hand's future. Many more collabs I wanna do with you. I think Pablo from BH and Dennis from BHug should team up and see how big they can make this thing. IMO, it should be more about the audio than the video. Just my opinion.
