Well, cbgb , two years later and it's finally here. Technically since I was absent for about a year it's "only" one year, but that's just way too long. I'm really sorry about that. I suppose I'll need to do some backing vocals as well, as it sounds rather naked without them. Please let me know if you'd like for me to do anything differently (even though I'm about pooped since this was take 23 - -just kept messing up or losing my voice. This is one of those songs that pretty much reach the limit of my regular voice).

@Michael Dixon: I almost forgot about this song.,I really like it . It would sound great with harmonies.

@Michael Dixon: Hey, thanks Michael -- I was so tired by the time I sent in the track that I failed to let you and everyone else know what a fabulous job that you and Bob, Clay, Rick, and Lynn did.

Very nice Shawn. Thanks. Worth waiting for. I published your DAW. I'm tempted to tweak it ever so slightly but I think I'll wait and listen a few more times. Did you say you wanted to add BVs.

Hi Michael. Is this new DAW a new track or new levels, sync, etc? I won't be able to get to it until this afternoon.

Bob, in the DAW I listened to around 8 am Sunday the piano was being drowned out by the acoustic guitar and strings. I set a level for the piano and saved it in DAW, but to me it seems that those two instruments are going to be too loud for the song throughout. I would suggest bringing those down a bit or turning the piano up, and even the bass. The mix seems to me to be dominated by guitar and strings, which doesn't sound like the balance on the record.

Oh, and when you listen to it you could do what I did and mute the BT, listen for awhile, and then solo it. Go back and forth and see how closely they match in balance.

@Michael Dixon: Thanks, yes. It's first on my list when I get back to the studio. Got both grandkids right now and no time for myself. It's a mixed blessing, iykwim. I think panning the piano to one side a little tyle will be nice because the keys track is mono and one channel only. I've tried the fix mono button twice and it does nothing. I will adjust and publish your DAW ASAP. Thanks.

@Bob: I hear the piano in both ears. I took my headphones off and listened one ear at a time. If you still don't hear it on both sides you could try adding the doubled track back from Drafts.

@Michael Dixon: Published your DAW. Just lowered the BT and drum tracks a little.. Oh yeah, I meant the organ was mostly one channel. I think it all sounds very good. Nothing to do but wait for Shawn and revisit afterwards. Might need a tiny sync tweak on the drums.

Bob, I think you should delete one of my tracks. They're exactly the same. If you want to do any panning you could easily do it with just one track. As it is, one is just taking up space in the video screen. There will be other people in the video and it could get squished up.

Will do.

Managed to get a decent track down. I might be able to do it better tomorrow, but that fast runup toward the end is pretty tricky. For some reason, Bandhug recorded the same track twice. They're exactly the same. You could delete one, or you could try panning them left and right and see what that does. It might not do much of anything since I did not record it in stereo. I really like this song. It's coming along nicely.

Bob: Just an idea, but since you have rwo piano tracks you could try doing what we did with Rick's guitars one time. I don't know if using two tracks would be any different than doing it with one track, but you could pan one track volume all the way to the right, then pan the other just a little it to the left using the wrench icon in Studio view.

@Michael Dixon: Very nice, Michael. I think I now have to tweak the sync on the drum track.

I know a guy who has a dobro but he's never recorded on Bandhug.

@Michael Dixon: Now that I think of it, my brother has a dobro. Problem is, he doesn't have much time.

@Bob : my friend is a country lead guitar player who just got one a couple months ago. I don’t really here much dobro in this song. I guess it would be a little icing on the cake if we had one..

@Michael Dixon: I only hear that one little fill. Almost like the dobro player packed up and left after five measures. Kinda weird. But in my head I can hear places where a tasteful dobro would be just like you said, a little icing.

@Bob : I can talk to my friend, Les. He has nice Mac computer seuup and big PA system in hi barn. He records with Logic Pro. I’ll see him Wednesday night. Maybe I can get you a dobro track!

@Michael Dixon: might be cool. But I would not want it to step on the piano.

I talked to my brother and he says says it's a slide guitar and only one note. Hardly worth it. I bet the guitar player played one note and Randy shot him a look and that was the end of that.

@Bob : Did you notice by removing one of the piano tracks it cut the volume in half?
