Bob, I apologize for dropping a track without saying a word after so long but I wanted to have it 100 percent ready so as to not give bs false promises to you. The video has 2 problems and I am fixing that today. (The talking a.i. gal and the subtitles) Also the reverb does not sit well in the mix and that I have already successfully remedied. I don't expect any accolades after taking so long I just hope you will still consider using them even though I shouldn't expect you to do so. I will understand if you don't but wholeheartedly hope this isn't the case. Peace

Better make sure the bulb in your head light isn't blown while you are at it! Only the most confident can point out their own foibles. Props to you!!!

Hey Rob. Publishing your latest DAW now. I have about an hour to play. Gonna try and lay down another drum track on SC. Then maybe do something for Frank.

I added the organ solo. Weird chords and notes! It came back out of synch, but I fixed it. I forgot what Dennis told me about copying and pasting the numbers in the Studio Main Screen, so what you need to do is go to DAW mode. Scroll down to where it says "Studio Settings" on the right, Click on that, and pull the menu down to "Michael Dixon's Settings." That will bring up the synched version. Go to the top toward the left and click "Apply Settings" and that will fix it in Studio and DAW.

Hi Rob. I published your last DAW but I don't think it's quite balanced. You dropped out the BT, which is fine except Michael is coming in with keys. I also think the bass and lead is too hot, and the rhythm guitar too low. What are you listening with when you mix? I tried with two different headphones. I'll this here but I think I'll have Michael mix it when the time comes.

I use logitech ATH M50x. But for the final mix I use use Alesis near field studio speakers. I like a heavy base too as long as the kick drum doesn't get lost.

@Bob : I agree. Everyone needs to stay in their lane so to speak, so the sound isn’t muddled. I have a eq but I am not very good at working it. But I hear the boom yin the bass you are talking about

Maybe I can use the hug eq on my track. I recall the surfer saying 250 needs to be cut. Surferbeto

@CyberBass: I'm hearing the kick ok most of the time, and when I don't, it's probably not because of the base. What do your mean by 250 needs to be cut. I notice that generally speaking you record with a high input, because when I listen to your tracks, I have to turn my volumes way down. I have to record the drums at very low input volumes to avoid distortion. My input gain is set at 2. It barely shows as registering on my audio panel, but in the record window I'm dancing into the red.

@Bob : I recall surfer saying that 250 hz or whatever on the hug eq takes a lot of boomyness out of the bass.

I would not know how to EQ the bass. It took me a long time to figure out how to EQ my drums. For example, where the base comes out in the song like it's suppose to the bass sounds just right. You know where I mean? So any EQ would change that.

@Bob : I think I get you. I already dropped the eq on my track to leave more room for the drums. Have a listen in daw.

@CyberBass: it's all good. Btw, Fuss is in the house.

@Bob : Dennis said this week that publishing from daw doesn’t pickup the panning and maybe not the eq either? Sounds the same to me.

@CyberBass: He's referring to one of the few tricks I have in my Idiot's Guide level understanding of EQ. Namely that tones around 250Hz often sound muddy and notching the EQ a bit in that range can clean up the sound of muddy bass and guitars. Might be worth a try? BTW you guys are off to a great start here! Can't wait to hear what Fuss and Margarex add to the project. Rock on!
