cDub - You've been away from BH for several weeks, hoping you come back soon. Since this collab has gone without vocals for so long, I felt compelled to try something, but not without cheating a little. Since I've always felt this song is a bit too fast for my singing ability, I thought I'd try recording to a slowed down BT, and then speed my recording back up to regular speed afterward. With some experimenting and determination, I think I was able to come up with something that could work in the collab mix. See what you think of it. Better than nothing, I guess. I'll go ahead and publish my work, so everyone can hear it. Check it out, whenever you get back to BH, and let me know if this mix works for you. By all means, feel free to replace my tracks at any point, if you want. Or we can call it completed as is, if everyone is happy with this mix.
I took a quick listen and I think it's really good! I'm curious about how much you had to slow it down to sing it. I think the vocals are a bit loud, but let me come back after I get off work and get more specific.
@Byrdlander : Ha! I was just gonna turn down the vocals a bit, when I saw your comment. Will do soon. And I'd say I slowed down the BT by maybe around 20 to 25%.. Just enough to make it comfortable to sing. Hey James, if you were working on vocals for this, let's hear what you have. I only did this to fill the void, and to see if my cheating idea could work. Sounds OK, I guess. But yes, too loud ATM. Still tweaking...
@Byrdlander : Agreed and done. Hoping cDub returns soon to have a listen. With his approval, maybe we'll remove the two BTs (now muted), and call it completed. Outstand work on this, everyone!
I think it sounds great. Vocals maybe still a little loud and maybe they sound a bit clean. Needs a little more reverb or something? When did this come back to being in my name? I sometimes just can't figure this site out. Been really busy playing in a couple other bands and have left a Boston tune on the table with someone on here.
@cDub: Welcome back, Clay! Don't be such a stranger here. Alright, so I lowered the vocals a bit, and added more reverb to both. Also removed BTs and rearranged tiles, as well as adjusted panning to match the video layout. Check it out and let me know if it's a keeper yet. If everyone is happy with this, we can mark it as Completed, and consider our next collab! BTW, this collab has been back in your name for several weeks now. I gave up on trying to get another singer for this song. It just never happened, so I gave it a shot with a slowed down BT, and that seems to be the trick needed to tackle this song on vocals. Just curious, which Boston tune?
This collab is back in cDub 's name. Only he can put vocals back in the Help Wanted section, so that'll be up to him. I did my best trying to recruit a singer for this collab. I failed, so the collab is now owned by cDub again. Let's hope he has better luck getting someone to sing it, if not you, Byrdlander .
The BT is back in place for any singer who would like to record vocals.
CopyCat Can you please move the panning on the first guitar back to the middle? This mix is heavy on the left channel per my meters. Thanks!

Who is singing here? Please don't tell me it's an MP3.
