"The Way" is a song by American alternative rock band Fastball. It was released on January 7, 1998, as the lead single from their second studio album, All the Pain Money Can Buy (1998). "The Way" peaked at number one on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in April 1998 and remained there for seven weeks. It also reached number one in Canada on the week of June 15, 1998, and topped the RPM Alternative 30 chart for four weeks. The song was voted by VH1 as one of its "100 Greatest Songs of the '90s", ranking it at number 94.

thx1138 - I added a sample piano/synth track. If you want something like this, let me know and I'll redo it to fix a few bad notes and timing issues (after practising more).

@thx1138: Thanks for the opportunity. I added a track that's a bit better. Left split is the sax sound. Right split is the piano. Middle split is the oscilating synth sound before the outro/solo.

Hi Eric pcderic . Just to make sure there's no misunderstanding, you'd like to do the special effect sound (osc synth) and replace the version that is done already ? If it's that you want, I will remove mine. Cheers!

@thx1138: Thanks for that! I noticed you muted the backing track with the drums because they were mixed with the original keyboards eh? Sound less punch now (w/o drums) don't you think? Maybe we can invite a drummer?

Hi pcderic , I'm the invited drummer but if after been invited and accepted, I put myself on 'do not disturb' and then the next invitation round removed me, it's a bug. In the meantime I will put a drum only backing track .
