Elmwood was a band formed in 1990 in Medina, Ohio by Mark O. (guitar, vocals), Ray Sammartano (lead guitar, keys, vocals), Rodney K. (drums, vocals), and Benny R. (bass, vocals). Their approach was to improvise, experiment, and have fun, with no musical limits.

In 1991, they produced a 60-minute audio cassette on a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder. The self-titled album contained 12 songs, and Nova to Venus was the third track on the album. The lyrics were based on a dream that Mark had.

In 2023, the original cassette masters were located and digitized by Ray. The individual tracks were sent off to Rodney, who remastered and remixed all 12 tracks on the album, resurrecting this music for a new life in the digital age.

Benny provided a new bass track for Nova to Venus using the original Rickenbacker that he used on all of the original Elmwood material.

This A.I. video was generated by Ray via Plazmapunk.

More info about Elmwood, and the original Elmwood cassette, is available at:

admin - It's nice seeing the different video quality options, and being able to change them. Problem is, it always defaults back to 720p. Shouldn't it default to the last chosen video quality, so we don't have to keep changing it back to our preferred video quality? Mine is 240p, BTW. Not great, but videos load faster on WiFi, and barely any buffering. Please see what you can do about that.

Hi there copycat. We have adjusted the videos for best performance for collaboration videos. Single videos such as the one you have uploaded here were never intended to be part of bandhug. We have used this single video upload feature for support or information purposes. We have a sister site called band hub Club that is perfect for this type of video. You are more than welcome to use that site and may find better results for this type of video. The average user does not have the capability to upload single videos like this one on band hug. No offense but this is a collaboration website.

@admin: Ahh, I understand. Not everyone can see the Upload button for videos. That's what you use to upload help videos. So I have abused a privilege without realizing it. OK, sorry about that. I won't upload any more videos this way. Instead, I'll try out bandhubclub.com - Should I use the upload link there? Can everyone use that?

@CopyCat : Not quite running on all cylinders but getting there! The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
