Strings are up. I recorded them quite loud and have already dropped their volume in Studio Main (and DAW), but you will probably want to tweak that a bit more for yourself. I've given you three separate tracks as indicated at the start of each, so you have a little more control over the full mix. I think I managed to get everything, it was a good transcription exercise. And I have to say, in transcribing it I find that it's truly a damn fine string arrangement by Rutger Gunnarsson, clearly not "only a bass player" (!)
Lovely voice, Janet! This is my favourite "sleeper" track from Arrival and you've done it so sympathetically. If I had a bit more time, I'd work at transcribing the strings and piano. At the moment I'm mainly doing stuff that I know I can do quickly. Maybe in a week or two I could try something if you like.
