The singer is or was a DJ on the radio & he made a bet with a recorded producer he could write a song about Pop Music that’s on the radio & he came up with this song & it hit number 1 on the pop billboard charts lol in the 80’s or 90’s ? He used pop music to write a song about pop music lol
