A bittersweet ballad of love and loss in which the speaker addresses the listener with memories of beautiful beginnings and the painful endings.

While the lyrics relate the story of the speaker’s heartbreak, much of the song is written in the second-person, inviting the listener to map their own experiences onto the speaker’s, and ultimately advising the listener to act as the speaker does in trying to love again.

I left you a drum track, Stu. I can redo if you like. Took me three tries to get a good sync. This song may be a hard song to sync to. In the sense that I have a feeling if you put a metronome to it you'd find it fast and slow in places.
