Townes wrote of many songs and Pancho and Lefty is one of his best known. Covered by Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and many others. This version does not have the classic lead in but was one of best with both Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan.

Thanks Anthony…Did a few tunes with Creek and wish she was still active in Bandhug. Had a book to finish writing after 3 years, so pulled back a little on collabs, but got a list going so will be back in it soon !

@Rick : thanks - yes I saw she was online at the end of August and that she plays Banjo. I sent her a nice note a week ago but have not heard back. Looks like she's do a fine job on the Gene Clark track at Pete is unable to complet that one.

I did not know this beautiful song. And I don't even understand the lyrics (I'm not good at English). Nevertheless, I don't know why, this collab moves me. Inside perhaps I see my youthful hopes, the American roads that I dreamed of and that marked my youth. Thanks friends!
