Thanks so much CC! The vocal effect is from a plug-in. It's the digital version of the Abbey Road device that was created for John Lennon to double track his voice, because he didn't like having to do it. The company WAVES has a bunch of other Abbey Road machines digitized, including the tape machine (J37 Tape) that was used on most of The Beatles, and tons of other famous artist albums. The plug-ins even look like the machines (which I think is often a thing that's typical of really good plug-ins). This one cost only $29.
