Hi Jon. I think the volume level on the BT is resonating with my track causing both to clip.
@Jon Darren: I think that'll fix it. I don't hear any clipping in the track on its own. And the is pretty hot. I'm listening at like 10% or 15%. This song is a perfect fit for you. I'm looking forward to it.
@Bob : yeah I think we're okay on that front. But there is a hi-hat part in the beginning I wish we could've gotten tho. You know I hate asking for more takes, but if possible, that lead in helps the song a lot
Hi Grant ,Thanks for kicking this one off with your drums , good to be doing a collab with you again . I,ll be aiming to do some vocals shortly and look forward to adding further tracks as they come on board. Cheers joey
Thanks joey, great to see you back in action, looking forward to seeing this one come together.
Hi Joey, thanks for inviting me, nice song. I have 2 collabs to complete first (rather difficult ones), so I can't tell you when I'll record yours. If you can wait I'm in or you can invite someone else, I'd totally understand. :-)
Hi Michmuch , that fine with me ,im in no hurry ,ill be a bit longer than usual with the vocals so all good when your free .
Hey Bob , here are a couple of tracks for you ,hope you like them . Feel free to tinker with the mix to your liking . cheers joey
Awesome Joey! Really Channeled this one. I did tweak your mix, and I made some other adjustments. Let me know what you think. I EQd Ricks track to get the highs out of it as Frank's rhythm is carrying a lot of bass tones.
@Bob : Hi Bob , thanks for the nice words, i think im going to redo the lead track as there is a couple of things that im not quite happy with , ill send it through shortly , i might look at the 2nd track B.V as well to match them up a bit bettter . cheers joey
Great collab guys , love watching this come together !!! Drums sound and played terrific Bob, that's what I miss since I turned to e drums.
Thanks, mate. I hear ya, or actually not, because playing acoustics and monitoring them through ear buds is murder on the ears. I didn't have great hearing from spending days and nights with marine diesels, but since my early days with Bandhub, and now here, my hearing got much worse. And I was never very good on the e-drums.
@Bob : I turned to noise cancelling when playing acoustic kit, Bob it's a no brainer I still use them with the edrums.
@Bdajaysus: what brand. I tried a pair but I ended up with ear buds under a pair of heavy duty ear protectors.
@Bob : My daughter bought me the sony over ear WHM1003, my brother uses BOSE . I recommend both if you get a chance to try them both out pick your preference.
Well done guys. This is sounding very nice. I'm sitting here getting ready to put a roast in the oven watching football and publishing these great tracks on my phone. What could be better?
Hi Bob! Would you like a synth track? If so, here's one for you. Great song choice, and nice work so far on the collab!
dennisski. ' Some Girls ' Drum Track sent - Please review. Hope it's pretty. :)
The Karafun tracks are hard to cover because they are re-recordings instrument wise. What we play doesn't match the BT of the original song. Is there any way we could use the Stones BT?
Wow you guys! You did some really beautiful things with this pretty song. You all should be very proud. Bravo! Sweet vocal harmonies Maurizio.
Hi ,Thank you all my musical friends for this collab. Great job.See you around. Check here the vid : https://youtu.be/J54GXszuefQ
Maurizio tonysurf70 ftFonz delwin thx1138 I can not thank you all enough for joining in on this collab. Before I mark it complete, are there any adjustment you want to make?
Here's a bass track for you, if it suits you. Thanks for the invite! Not sure why it doesn't show that I accepted it in the help wanted listing.
Flmusicgal - Hi Linda - here is a lead track for your review..I did my own take as I cannot play it note-for-note like the original...Well done All !
You guys did a really good job with this one. Bravo!
You know, I have been listening to this song for most of my life and I still don’t really understand what it is about.
Here is the great comeback of one of the best singers on Bandhug! Thanks Maurizio!!!!!
Many thank dear Petek. It's the first song I play with this very old banjo that I haven't played for years and years and years
Love this album. Have never heard anyone cover this song before. Need any help with vocals or backing vocals?
Thank you very much! For this piece I am already in contact with Maurizio. If there are problems with him, I will keep your proposal in mind. Thank you
Surferbeto. SENT: Nu Vcl Tracks & Nu DAW. Please give it a listen, Thanks. I'm going for Wonderful... Thanks.
New DAW mix loaded and published. This just keeps getting better and better.
Diesel88 mix loaded in DAW, applied and published. You guys sound pretty great here. Diesel88 you are on fire here man!
dennisski 1983Electric nistaljm cbgb - Well done everyone ! Dennis - Here are my guitar tracks..Not 1:1 but hopefully they will work for the rest of the band...Thanks for the invite ! I will leave mixing up 2 U.
@dennisski: there's a lot of traps to fall into with the syncopation and staccato notes :D
Thanks Dennis. This was my first recording with the new system and I had the main mix out a little too hot. The toms are resonating. I should do it again with the mix I used later.
carlosred Thank you, Carlo. These are very nice tracks. Well done!
Celli (o's) sent and synced pretty close. my string tracks are panned already, so leaving them centered will have the desired effect unless you have something else in mind. Thanks, as always let me know of any corrections, additions, or deletions.
Oh myyyyyyy - submitted half a bassline - part two tomorrow prolly - there's some twiddling I need to work out :-)
Spectacular track Jungle J!! I see that head bobbing works just as good for rhythm as toe tapping. haha. Excellent work! Thanks!
@YvesC: Just submitted a keys track with the storm effect at various places. I don't mind redoing it if you feel there's something to fix somewhere. Perhaps we wait for your bass and vocals and assess then?
@YvesC: Thanks for publishing. I listened to it and I'll redo my track soon to fix a few timing issues. There are 2 places I've noticed where it's a bit naked. 1) During the Rhodes solo, there's some rhythm guitar missing; 2) at the end, there's some sound effects missing. For #1, look into Frank (@thx1138) - I can add left hand chords if needed? For #2, I can overdub some rain effect or we can get @Bob to do some cymbal work (if there's a future retake)...
@YvesC: Oops, deleted my comment by mistake. Here's what I said before: Thanks. @thx1138 and @cbgb, about my comment above, I'd like to know, are you done recording here? If yes, I'll fill the voids on my next retake. If not, I might wait and see what you do next.
Hi Eric, if you scroll down you'll see thx1138 comment: "Salut ! Here are two tracks for your. I owe you another one - the rhythm during the keyboard solo...I will wait till Eric pcderic comes in with his work and follow him.". Consequently I'm sure Frank (thx1138) will do another track to back you on the solo.
About Bob, I don't know if he will do another take. If not it's perfectly fine. However I wouldn't ask him to emulate rain or thunder. I'd be more than happy Eric if you'd fill the gaps where sound effects are missing, the ones you did are awesome.
@YvesC: Hi Yves. Sorry for being so absent. I've been wanting to do my track over. This time of year is tough for me. A lot going on, and as you know, I've had my share of technical issues with my system not performing. Maybe I can give it a shot tonight. As I recall I came in late somewhere, but maybe nobody noticed because it was an arbitrary stop anyway.
@YvesC: Anything for you mate. Thunder and rain, no. Cymbal effects yes. About the drum track here now, I'm not sure I can get a better track tone wise. If you're happy with it, great. I'd just as soon keep and add an effects percussion track at the end if you want. I am of course willing to redo the main track, but that could take some time.
@Bob : I was thinking cymbals at the end (with mallet sticks?) to get some kind of white noise but it's probably not needed. I just submitted my keys track with some added rain noise at the end. Hopefully it'll fill some void.
Thanks cbgb Bob, to me, I love how your ride rings. It's going so well through the mix that the global track level has to be lowered but doing so we loose kick, snare, fills, etc. I don't know what your set-up allows you to do, I'll let you comment. (we can persue in PM)
@YvesC: well, remember I had to give up the old Win 7 laptop for the for newer Win II? Well Alesis doesn't make a driver for a 64 bit processor for my USB interface, so I'm using a generic MS driver and it is different and more limited, so I find myself still dialing in a whole new mix. The bugaboo is that what I hear monitoring the mix of drums and BT is not what I hear at playback. It's frustrating.
@YvesC: btw, I did tape the ride. That helped. I'm using 9 mics. But I'm stereo out to the analogue/digital interface. I could just drop the gain on the overhead mic over the ride.
Lets try it ? up to you :) . There's no hurries here btw :) Thank a lot for your efforts.
@YvesC: I'm listening now with a pretty good set of ear buds and the global mix is very hot. The AI bass in particular, which is something that will interfere with drums. I can barely hear any drums. Let me see if I can offer a suggestion. I also have to listen to another song I did the same night.
Good, don't pay too much attention to vocals, it's draft, I'm too loud from start but it stabilises later in the song
@YvesC: ok. Saved a DAW. But this is your collab, yeah, and my ears are getting old and tired.
YvesC this will look and sound awsome Guys Great start Frank bar has been set !!!
YvesC - Salut ! Here are two tracks for your. I owe you another one - the rhythm during the keyboard solo...I will wait till Eric pcderic comes in with his work and follow him.
@YvesC: Merci so much my friend ! Pleasure doing Bandhug Business with you as always.
thx1138 Mr Raiden!! Fatality!!!! Lol Love it!! Sounds and looks super mega awesome! thanks so much!!!! FINISH HIM!!! lollll Love it!!
CarolGrand brijamcam - Well done my BHug Buds ! Sounds great..I am Missing...Will be joining you 2-morrow !
Late to my own party lolll but better late than never lolll fashionably late? lolll
Hi, I added the 2 vocal tracks, I hope you like them. In my DAW I adjusted sync and volumes.
Hey Stu, I sent over a piano intro. Let me know what you think. If you like it, I will record the rest of the song in a similar fashion. But I am open to any suggestions and changes that you see fit. Sorry I keep missing my self imposed deadlines. Tom
I guess you're right about this vocal, it was me singing. Man, I completely forgot about doing that. I remember this as being your song, maybe the only one you wrote, and you always sang it whenever we'd play it. I don't remember why I sang it in this version. Maybe I wanted to record it, but you didn't want to sing it, so I tried to sing it the way you used to. I really thought it was you singing. I remember liking the song and thinking it was cool to have you sharing in some of the Elmwood writing, especially considering that most of our stuff came from improvised jams. I'm still hoping you guys will do something together here on Bandhug, unlikely as it seems. Those good old days are now too far behind us for everyone to care about keeping the memory alive with a new collaboration. Just wishing you all the best at this point.
I think you actually sang the lyrics I wrote for this song so if you want to re-record or rewrite or whatever I’m all for it! I will try to record a new bass track soon.
JimiBendrix - That's you singing, Brother. We gotta keep that vocal, it's perfect. This collab only needs bass and guitar to complete. If Mark doesn't wanna join, maybe another guitarist from BH would like to sit in. We shall see. Yeah man, please do record the bass track. Should be a pretty decent mix, when done.
Hoping to remix this old original sung by our bass player, JimiBendrix (Now on Bandhug)
CopyCat on Drums
Raaay on keys (also on BH) and
Mark on guitar (Not yet joined)
Elmwood played mostly originals, in the early 90's.
If we can get this remix completed here on Bandhug, perhaps we'll remix others here, in the future.
Same here, loved this tune since the beginning and always wanted to play it but my band was not into it, it took a little while for me to cone to this, I think it will be a good collab.
Fantastic start, FelKeys! Great song. I remember back in the 80s when I played this song repeatedly many times over because the keyboard part gave me a chill in my spine it sounds so cool and you are nailing it. This is definitely one of my favorite Styx songs. I’m looking forward to see how this progresses..
Hi FelKeys..Thank you for inviting me. I have a question. When I watch Styx live footage, the chorus is sung by two people, a lead vocalist and a backing vocalist. Is it okay for me to take the higher part? If that's OK, I'll do it after the lead vocal is recorded.Thank you..
FelKeys nice song, thanks for inviting me. I have 2 collabs left to record first, so I'm in if you're ok with that. I don't want to slow down collaborations :-)
dennisski Here is an acoustic guitar track for your consideration. I hope you dig.
I've mostly played this song slow and acoustic-folksy. Trying to get this party started here, but this is a rather choppy performance by the Stones. I found the rhythm a little hard to find at times. I'm not taking nearly enough drugs to keep up with the 1969 Rolling Stones, I am sure. Anyway, I hope it's something you can use. Rock on! :-)
Maurizio - Hey I'm working on to this one now - sorry to make you wait I had a lot in the queue to finish, and life lol. See you soon
Hi guys sent in a track let me know if it's ok for you I can also add some percussion if you want, vocals are excellent Maurizio and keys just fabulous Georgi
I'd say it's perfect. Excellent! Now let's wait for the bass. She is coming along very well, thanks... also to Georgi who is always wonderful!!!
Hi Maurizio this is next on my list but could you return the original backing track ?
I love this song. I hope you like @Maurizio. Great vocals and harmonies as always.
Just got up this morning as my left foot is hurting so i could not sleep. Then found the email with track send. Thanks Cyberbass can't tapp my left foot but it sounds good to me man.
@Indoguitar : ugh I just got over a gout attack in my left foot lol. And thanks
@CyberBass: It sucks man gotta go to the doctor today. Never had this before...
Thanks for your invite. I’m on the road until next weekend and will check it then.
@Indoguitar : Hi Henry, piano track sent. It's surely not perfect and the piano solo is nothing spectacular, but it's fun and fitting the song :D
This is a brandnew song of Jennifer Lyn amd the Groove Rivaval called Gypsy soul. By ear i think Its a 1-4-5 progression and I hear a C- F -G .
Hi Stu I added strings tracks hopping you like it. When publishing, please publish from the studio screen. If you publish from the DAW screen, the left and right sounds will be reversed. I want the cello to sound from the left side and the violin from the right side.Thank you !!
Yes sir , Beautifully played ,
String quartets were the most popular genre of chamber music in the Classical era and are always written for the same four instruments: two violins, one viola, and one cello.

Added the guitar track hopping you like it....
Hi Stu Changed the backing track to standard pitch..
