@CyberBass: Of course Rob, I never tried to play this song before. I needed a lot of listening and reflection to position myself on the reciprocal role of the 2 guitars in the mix, finding the notes, the sounds, etc. Trial and error. It's only when everything falls into place that I turn the camera on.

On my end, it's the chord progressions G-D-C and G-C-D in verses that I keep mixing up.

@Eric : Thank you Eric. Did you try my mix? Bass is full volume in the published mix. Way too loud imo

@CyberBass: Ah, just noticed the Saved Mix feature. My problem right now is that I just redid my piano/organ track so I think I cannot reuse your mix. I'll try to adjust the mix properly and republish and let you review in a jiffy...

@Eric : You are correct, the saved mixes also save the tracks themselves. I saved a new mix if you want to listen.

@CyberBass: We're working at the same time on the same stuff so I'll back-off a bit for now. I just published my own mix (not knowing you were doing it too) but don't hesitate to let me know if what's there isn't as good as your mix? I also removed the BT to remove that crutch for our listening. Might have to put it back in for the guitarist...

Actually, I'm still not happy with my latest recording. I'll redo again. :-)

@Eric : The lowest level is the keys. The rest of the levels need to be dropped to balance it all out evenly.

@CyberBass: Correct. Especially with this song, there's some numbing effect going on. I think it's the singing that takes away my focus somehow (that's a compliment).

@CyberBass: Agreed, you wouldn't havenoticed it but I published after muting the BT, then I restored the BT volume for the next contrib w/o republishing. So I just wanted to hear how good it sounded w/o crutches. :-)

For this reason, I'm keeping your track low in the mix, otherwise it could sound out of place. You can hear a sample of an isolated piano track at karaoke-version.com if you click on the "S" (solo) button after hitting the Play button... ( https://www.karaoke-version.co....m/custombackingtrack ) ...You'll notice it's an acoustic piano sound, and sparsely mixed in. That is all the piano this song really calls for. Of course, you're welcome to send another track like this if you want. Otherwise, we'll just keep your electric piano track very low in the mix. Still, your effort is appreciated.

@CopyCat : I agree with you. I even thought I'd recommend being low in the mix. Let's wait for the other instruments and see how it sounds. If I need to, I'll either redo this track or re-record it. You can't hear the piano very well in the original backing track. You can also cut some parts.

@Georgi Chobanov: It's true that it's hard to hear in the mix because it's really well blended. It's a kind of link between harmonics of guitar 1and 12 strings guitar. That's why a "metalic old sound" fits good :-)
